Jithin Mathew

Meet Jithin Mathew, a 22-year-old from Thodupuzha in the Idukki district. After finishing his school in India, Jithin chose to move to Germany for further studies in nursing. He was attracted to Germany because of its free education and the many opportunities to learn and grow. Another reason he chose Germany was because many of his relatives are also there.

When Jithin was preparing to go to Germany, all his classes were online because of the Corona virus. He studied the German language up to an advanced level (B2) at the Goethe Institute in Kochi and Trivandrum. It took him only a year to finish these courses.

His brother, who has been living in Germany since 2018, helped him a lot. With his brother's guidance, Jithin started his journey in the healthcare field in Germany. He also taught German online at different academies.

Jithin's first step in Germany was to join an old age home for a voluntary social year (FSJ). After this, he started his formal training in nursing, and he is now in his second year. Jithin's story shows how determination and the right support can help someone succeed in a new country. He is a great role model for young students who are thinking about studying in Germany.
